Loading & Unloading with Our Trucks
Your household goods are loaded and unloaded with the utmost care. We treat everything as if it were important, and we know that some things can never be replaced. Our skilled moving crew will do everything we can to make sure everything stays safe. The first thing we do is get the house ready. We put a floor runner in the entryway to protect the floor, the door jam, and the handrail on the stairs. Then we get to work making sure your furniture is safe and taking it apart if it needs to be. We use moving blankets and plastic shrink wrap to protect fragile or easily broken items on the furniture. The whole load is then put in the right place and secured with cargo straps so it doesn't move around. Boxes will go in first, stacked on top of each other, so that as much as possible can fit in the truck. Then, we'll put the mattresses on top of the boxes to make a wall that will keep the boxes from falling out. Most of the time, it takes less time to unload than to load. We'll put your boxes where you want them, put your beds back together, and fix anything else that needs fixing. Put each piece of your home where you want it.
Loading & Unloading PODs
When loading a POD, we follow a similar procedure as when loading our truck. However, some added expenses are required. Moving blankets will be needed to protect your items being stored or shipped. With PODS, cargo straps will not work. For securing the load, you will need 100 feet of thin nylon rope. These can be found at the best price on Amazon and shipped to your front door. We will load the boxes first and stack them on the roof in tiers in order to use the maximum space. We will then load the mattresses and secure them with rope, using the mattresses to secure the boxes from any movement. Next will be the square furniture and miscellaneous items.
Loading & Unloading Cargo Containers
Loading shipping containers is similar to loading a POD . You will want to acquire padded moving blankets to protect your furniture while being shipped. With shipping containers and rental trucks, ratchet cargo straps will work. For securing the load, you will need 12 cargo ratchet straps . These can be found at the best price on Amazon and shipped to your front door. The boxes will be loaded first, followed by the mattresses to secure the boxes. Then the square furniture and miscellaneous items.
